Free Course Focuses on Fatigue Prevention for Seafarers

March 5, 2024 – Hamilton, ON – Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS)

The Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) has launched a free online course, in partnership with Transport Canada, to help those who work in the marine industry mitigate the risks associated with fatigue at sea.

The one-hour Fatigue Management at Sea course explains what fatigue is, how to avoid it, and how to reduce its effects. Seafarers and authorized representatives who are responsible for mitigating the risk of fatigue at sea will also gain an understanding of the regulations governing fatigue management, and the role they play in prevention.

More information about the online course is available on the CCOHS website.
